To become a registered nurse in various English speaking countries people are required to submit an OET score to show an OET score. OET provides a valid & reliable assessment of all four language skills- listening, speaking, reading & writing - with an emphasis on communication in healthcare professional settings. Test Structure
There are 4 skills-based papers:
The Listening and Reading papers are designed to assess a candidate’s ability to understand spoken and written English, based on health-related topics and tasks common to all professions. The Writing and Speaking papers are specific to the 12 individual healthcare professions – designed to reflect common tasks performed in the workplace.

OET Scores – Candidates can check their OET Scores online, 16 business days from the day of each exam subtest. They need to login to their OET Profile to get access. The OET India offers IELTS tests in 14 locations.
International candidates need to score a minimum of B in all 4 papers to achieve the standard required by those regulatory bodies that recognize the OET’s validity.
Eligible OET score in various countries
For the UK, you need a B grade for Speaking, Reading and Listening and C+ grade only for writing. When it comes to Australia and New Zealand the scores required are the same, one needs to get B grade for all the tests namely Writing, Speaking, Reading and Listening. Score requirements change from country to country and in the case of Ireland, the candidate should score B grade in Writing and Speaking and C+ for Listening and Reading.
Test dates,Fees and Location
The Occupational English Test (OET) is held 14 times a year across multiple locations in India. Candidates looking to register for their OET exam are required to pay an OET fee of AUD 587. Though OET test dates are available every month, candidates can only register for the OET exam for the next three test dates at a time.
